About Teddy
Teddy was the heart and soul of Ted's Space...
...he was an extraordinary and lovable support dog. Teddy was an 11 years Spoodle, known for his gentle nature and unwavering loyalty. Teddy's incredible ability to connect with children, his gentle demeanour, and his enthusiasm for being an active part of our program made him truly special. With his soft fur and wagging tail, Teddy had a natural talent for bringing smiles to the faces of children and their whānau.
Teddy had an incredible gift for making everyone feel seen and loved, and his presence was a source of calm and joy for all who knew him. His presence created a safe and supportive space for learning and growth, making Teddy a remarkable and cherished companion for everyone involved in Ted's Space during his time.
This legacy of love and acceptance continues through "Ted’s Space," a tribute to the safe spaces Teddy created for our tamariki, schools, and communities. Through Ted's Space and our amazing pups Willow and Daisy, we will continue to carry forward the warmth and support Teddy embodied, ensuring his impact remains a vital part of our work. As we reflect we’re reminded that Teddy’s lessons—of kindness, acceptance, and joy—are woven into the fabric of what we do. His spirit lives on as we create spaces that nurture connection, learning, and well-being, honoring his remarkable gift to us all.
